This Sharing Settings and Cookie Notice explains how 123Psych deploys cookies, tracking technologies, and data-sharing controls across our website and digital services. Common provisions are detailed separately for services received within Australia (Part A) and internationally (Part B).
Applies to individuals receiving services within Australia.
Cookies are small files stored by a browser; pixels, tags, SDKs and local storage can recognise browsers or measure interactions. 123Psych publishes the actual technologies deployed, their operators, purposes and retention periods. This notice does not imply advertising trackers are installed if they are not.
These support security, fraud prevention, session continuity, load balancing, consent records and essential site functions. They are limited to what is genuinely necessary, with an explanation of any controls users can apply through their browser.
Optional preferences may remember language, display or accessibility settings. Settings may be stored locally or by a service provider; disabling them may affect convenience rather than essential site access.
Where enabled, analytics measure visits, error rates and page performance. Providers, event categories, IP handling, data retention, transfer countries and opt-out options are disclosed. Questionnaire answers, diagnosis details, therapy messages and other sensitive content are never collected in analytics events.
If advertising tools are used, vendors and types of sharing are clearly identified. Sensitive health information is never disclosed for profiling or advertising targeting. A strict ethical and legal review is applied prior to any marketing integration.
Granular choices are presented before optional technologies are activated where required. Rejecting optional trackers is as straightforward as accepting them. Consent versions, timestamps and categories are securely recorded.
Users may withdraw optional consent prospectively through the implemented consent interface and may delete cookies via browser settings. Disabling cookies can affect certain site functions.
A current cookie register is maintained listing name, provider, purpose, category, duration and cross-border implications. Any material addition of analytics or third-party tools triggers renewed consent where required.
A verified contact channel is provided for tracking concerns. Users may exercise access, correction, objection and complaint rights. Our general handling of personal information is governed by the Privacy Policy.
For Australia, tracking and data practices comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), Australian Privacy Principles, Spam Act 2003, and Australian Consumer Law.
Practitioners adhere to Ahpra and National Board telehealth standards. Consumer guarantees under Australian law cannot be excluded.
Sensitive health information receives heightened protection. Cross-border disclosures comply with APP 8, and electronic messaging strictly follows opt-in and unsubscribe mandates.
Concerns may be raised via 123Psych complaints, relevant state/territory health complaints bodies, Ahpra, or the OAIC.
Applies to people receiving services in countries outside Australia, only where 123Psych is legally able to provide the relevant service.
International users are provided with clear notices regarding browser cookies, local storage and analytics technologies, ensuring alignment with cross-border data protection frameworks.
Essential session and security cookies are utilised to maintain secure authenticated logins, form submissions, and transaction integrity.
Preferences such as language or visual accessibility settings are remembered to improve user convenience without requiring recurring setup.
Performance telemetry is aggregated to monitor platform uptime and responsiveness. Clinical notes and confidential intake forms are never included in analytical tracking.
Third-party advertising pixels are prohibited from observing authenticated therapy or sensitive health consultations.
In accordance with GDPR and ePrivacy requirements, European visitors receive an upfront consent banner permitting granular acceptance or rejection of non-essential cookies.
Consent preferences may be modified at any time via the on-site consent manager or by configuring individual browser privacy controls.
International partners and integrated plugins are reviewed regularly to verify compliance with international data processing agreements.
International users may submit inquiries regarding cookie tracking or request data deletion via our Data Protection Officer.
Digital interactions adhere to international cross-border healthcare parameters and local practitioner standards.
Where GDPR or UK GDPR applies, cookie deployment conforms with Article 6 lawful processing bases and Article 9 restrictions on health-related profiling.
Compliance with regional tracking regulations, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and Canadian PIPEDA, is maintained where applicable.
Electronic tracking choices respect international spam legislation and the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).
Mandatory consumer protection rights under the user’s home jurisdiction remain fully preserved.
We process personally identifiable and personal health information to conduct our business, as described in our Privacy Policy. Some data processing and sharing is required for our business to function. By clicking “I agree” we may share PII with third party advertising partners to deliver relevant ads or analytics partners to improve our services. To learn more or to opt-out go to ‘Sharing settings’.
123Psych uses its own technology and technology provided by third parties, including cookies, pixels, web beacons, software development kits and similar technologies, to operate our website and services, maintain security, understand how our services are used, improve your experience and, where you have given permission, support analytics and advertising.
Some processing is necessary for 123Psych’s services to operate and cannot be turned off. Other processing, including certain Analytics and Advertising activities, is optional.
For more information about how 123Psych collects, uses, stores and discloses personal information, please review our Privacy Policy and Third Parties List.
Selecting Allow All means that you consent to the optional Analytics and Advertising activities described below. Alternatively, you can make a separate choice for each category and select Confirm my choices.
123Psych processes information that is reasonably necessary to provide, operate, maintain and secure our website and services. This includes essential functionality, security, maintaining preferences, and complying with obligations.
If you enable Analytics, 123Psych may use or disclose certain information to analytics providers that help us understand how people find and interact with our website and digital services.
If you enable Advertising, 123Psych may use technologies provided by selected advertising and social-media platforms to measure advertising performance and deliver relevant advertising.
If you choose to communicate with 123Psych through third-party services (like WhatsApp, Microsoft Teams, or Facebook Messenger), information necessary to provide that communication will be processed by the provider. Because communications with a mental-health service may reveal sensitive information, consider the privacy characteristics before using them to send health-related information. 123Psych will not use the content of your private clinical communications for targeted advertising.
Emergencies: Social-media accounts and messaging services should not be relied upon for emergency or crisis communications. If you require urgent assistance, use the emergency services appropriate to your location.
